Common questions about the tools
What does the deliverability checker look at?
Your domain’s live DNS: the SPF record(s), DKIM selectors and the DMARC policy — the three records that decide whether inbox providers trust your mail.
Why does an email address come back as “Hold”?
The mailbox could not be confirmed: the domain does not accept mail, the address failed the SMTP probe, or the server is a catch-all that accepts everything. Unconfirmed addresses are the fastest route to a high bounce rate — so they are never sent to.
Is this the same checking ProspectBeam runs before sending?
